HI, I'M
RICARD
HARO

I MOVE CAMERAS TO HELP STORIES FLOW — WITH FRAMING, TIMING, AND A BIT OF STYLE.

I’m a Steadicam operator — which means I spend most of my time walking backwards while carrying heavy gear and trying not to trip over cables.

I work closely with directors and DPs to pull off smooth, precise camera moves that help tell the story without shouting for attention. Whether it’s a fast-paced chase or a quiet emotional moment, I’m there making sure the movement feels right (and looks good).

Operating a Steadicam isn’t just about wearing a fancy vest and looking cool on set — it’s about balance, timing, coordination, and a lot of practice. Plus a strong back. And snacks.

In a world full of fast cuts and shaky footage, I aim to bring a bit of flow and intention. For me, Steadicam is about connecting technique and storytelling — and making things look effortless, even when they’re not.

And yes, it’s heavy. I don’t know exactly how much — people keep asking.
